均質なWDMネットワークでWDM protection と IP restoration の性質を 形式化(formalize)．全てのノードは一波長につきtranceiverとreceiverを 一つずつ持ち，ネットワーク全体で波長の数は決まっている，１波長の 容量も一定(B)である，など．

トラフィック行列が与えられたとき，1)単一ファイバー障害を保護できる 2)トラフィック行列の何倍までサポートできるかというload factor, α を最大にできる，を満たすような仮想トポロジ(パスセットアップ）を 発見するのが目的．
